Join the International Center as a member and receive first access to the many events and home hospitality opportunities coming up! Membership in the International Center of the Capital Region offers you a unique opportunity to support global education and exchange and join a network of globally-minded people.


Your contribution helps us continue to connect our community to the world. In return, members receive benefits that help them stay connected to the world and resources in the Greater Capital Region.

Membership

We can tailor program sponsorship opportunities to meet your company’s philanthropic priorities. Here are the levels:

$25 per year

Student Member

Available students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. Receive one copy of the cultural food passport valid until December 31st, 2026.

$50 per year

Citizen Diplomat Member

Enjoy all the perks of membership for one while supporting our mission of connecting the Capital Region to the world. Receive one copy of the 2025 cultural food passport valid until December 31st, 2026.

$100 per year

Household Member

Reduced pricing for all household members, including all children under 18 years old. You will receive one copy of the cultural food passport for your household.

$500 one time

Lifetime Member

Induction as a Lifetime Member, you will be exempt from annual dues while enjoying all member benefits, including receiving a new cultural food passport each year. Your name will also be added to the Lifetime Member Honor Roll online and in our annual reports.

VOLUNTEER FORM

Internships

The International Center of the Capital Region (ICCR) offers internship opportunities for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students interested in nonprofit work, international exchange, citizen diplomacy, communications, youth programming, events, and community engagement.

ICCR interns gain hands-on experience while supporting programs that connect the Greater Capital Region to the world. Depending on their interests, skills, and academic level, interns may assist with international visitor programs, youth diplomacy initiatives, communications, social media, podcasting, event planning, fundraising, donor outreach, research, proposal writing, and community partnerships.


Internships may be adapted for students at different levels, including high school, college, and graduate students.

International Exchange, Governance, and Diplomacy


Interns in this area are introduced to the world of citizen diplomacy through ICCR’s work with international exchange visitors, community partners, volunteers, and board members. Interns may assist with research, proposals, agendas, program planning, visitor logistics, record keeping, and projects connected to international exchange programs supported through partners such as the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Congress.


Youth Programs and International Education

Interns support ICCR’s youth education and diplomacy initiatives, including programs that help students learn about global affairs, civic diplomacy, international relations, cultural understanding, and civic engagement.


Communications, Marketing, and Digital Media

Communications interns help design, write, and promote materials for ICCR programs, events, podcasts, community engagement, and outreach. Depending on their interests and skills, interns may work on social media, graphic design, photography, videography, podcasting, website updates, newsletters, printed materials, and digital campaigns.


Events and Community Engagement

Events interns assist with planning and supporting ICCR programs, public events, community gatherings, international visitor activities, and cultural exchange opportunities. Interns may help with event promotion, registration, logistics, partner communication, setup, guest support, and post-event follow-up.


Fundraising and Development

Fundraising interns support ICCR’s development work through research, proposal writing, donor outreach, sponsorship support, campaign materials, and community partnership development. This area is especially useful for students interested in nonprofit management, philanthropy, public service, and organizational leadership.

The International Center of the Capital Region created a Cultural Food Passport that our members love! It introduces them to new and exciting ethnic cuisine in our region and drives business for participating restaurants.
