The International Center

Welcoming the World to New York's Capital Region

The International Center, based in New York’s Capital of Albany, helps the Capital Region engage with the world and promote international understanding.

We serve an area that extends north to Plattsburgh, south to Westchester County, east to the borders of Vermont and Massachusetts and west to Syracuse. The International Center does this by:

  • Serving as citizen diplomats by hosting international visitors and delegations, and promoting professional and cultural exchanges.
  • Fostering education, awareness and advocacy about cultural diversity and global issues.
  • Promoting the assets of the New York Capital Region to the global community.
  • Offering shared services for international groups in the Capital Region.

The International Center of the Capital Region was chosen by the U.S. Department of State to create the American experience for more than 200 emerging opinion-shapers from around the globe this past year.

Looking for Host Families for Armenia Parliamentary Delegation!

ICCR of Albany NY pdf

This November the ICCR is hosting our final Open World delegation of the 2019 year by welcoming a group of 7 parliamentary advisors and members who are visiting the Albany Capital Region from November 15th-21st. While in Albany the group will gain insight into the workings of our federal, state and local governments, as well as the role the press, businesses groups and citizen organizations have in a democracy! For this project, we are looking for hosts who would be interested in opening up their home and bringing the culture and knowledge of Armenia to their living room. The ICCR provides transportation, and most meals during their stay, we are looking for folks looking to show our guests the United States and American culture from the inside out.

Contact Ryan Moll at (518) 708-7608 or at ryan@iccralbany.org for more details!
