DTrae Carter, (pronounced “Dray”), started in the role vacated by Holly McKenna when she was named the New Executive Director of the organization, last month. Carter will be responsible for tasks related to the organization’s newsletter and website, social media accounts, fundraising, and programming for various delegation visits.

announces a search has begun to find a new Executive Director of the nonprofit, after Jennifer
Zhao, the current Executive Director, resigns later this summer. “Ms. Zhao’s contribution to the organization and, consequently, our Region is immeasurable,” said Board President Mike O’Brien. “We are very sad to see her go, and can only hope to adequately fill her shoes to continue the mission of sharing diverse cultures.” “It has been my honor and pleasure to serve as the executive director for the International Center of the Capital Region,” said Zhao. Troy, N.Y. – The International Center of the Capital Region (ICCR) today celebrated its relocation to Hudson Valley Community College with leaders from Hudson Valley, ICCR, local elected officials, and Aneesa Waheed, owner of Tara Kitchen, as the event’s keynote speaker. After the speaking program, attendees participated in round table discussions focusing on fund development, community engagement, and the speakers’ bureau and local resources.

Troy, NY – The International Center of the Capital Region (ICCR) has moved its headquarters to the Hudson Valley Community College. Formerly located in Troy, the ICCR is a non-profit organization founded in 1956 to promote cultural understanding by welcoming international leaders and newcomers to the Capital Region. The new office of ICCR will be located in the Fitzgibbons Health Technology Center in a shared space with the college’s Office of Global Initiatives.
