Announcing ICCR’s New Taste of the World Cultural Wellness Series

Supported by the Common Roots Foundation

The International Center of the Capital Region (ICCR) is proud to launch our new Taste of the World Cooking Demonstration & Tasting Cultural Wellness Series, made possible with generous support from the Common Roots Foundation.

This unique series celebrates the intersection of culture, community, and wellness through the universal language of food. Each event will highlight the culinary traditions, wellness practices, and cultural stories from diverse communities in the Capital Region — all while fostering connection and global understanding.

The first event on August 7, focused on Summer Fresh Flavors, and was hosted by Sunhee’s Founder and Owner, Jinah Ahn, of Sunhee’s Farm & Kitchen in South Troy. The evening featured cultural storytelling, a live kimchi cooking demonstration, and a tasting experience inspired by seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients. Guests had the opportunity to experience Sunhee’s Farm & Kitchen’s unique approach to Korean cuisine, farm-to-table freshness, and cultural connection.

Stay tuned for more events in the Taste of the World Cultural Wellness Series throughout the year — each celebrating a different cultural tradition, culinary perspective, and wellness insight.
